Dytran Instruments offers accelerometer suitable for automotive vibration studies

Dytran Instruments’ Model 3316C accelerometer can be used in applications involving high temperatures and mass loading, such as automotive vibration studies, exhaust system analysis, engine vibration analysis and environmental stress screening.
The device features a charge mode element mounted in a hermetically sealed Inconel housing. The housing features a ’silver window’ on its top cover which provides oxygen access to the crystal at high temperatures without affecting the sealing.
The accelerometer weighs 5g, is 0.36in (9.1mm) in height and can withstand temperatures of up to 900°F ( 482°C).
It is offered with a sensitivity of between 1 and 2 pC/g and a 10,000Hz upper frequency response.
Dytran also offers isolated mounting blocks to isolate the sensor from the mounting surface when using it at elevated temperatures, in order to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
